Additional Comments :
As a part Chair of the Alumni Board, I got a first-hand look at the development process in creating a top 10 CEE department, and the enthusiasm associated when dedication professionals pursue a common goal. That goal is now a reality. But this is all part of the mystique of the Hokie Nation in general, and the College of Engineering specifically. My skills and talents are now being used in an un-thought of way when I was an undergraduate student, but still within a plan God created for my life. As the President of a non-profit foundation whose emphasis is the medical needs of very poor children in the remote mountain areas of central Hondouras, I still find much of what I learned at Virginia Tech very much in the forefront of what I do now. My experiences as president of the ASCE student chapter, my co-op experience, the team environment so ciritical to the execution of any project, are still with me. I would be pleased to help with issues related to the development of management and leadership skills as these transcend almost all areas where Virginia Tech civil and environmental engineers will find themselves in the future.
