CEE 5794 : ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES
Course Description :

Examines the basic physical, chemical, and microbiological principles that provide the foundation for environmental engineering. Illustrates how these principles are applied to solve a wide range of environmental problems.

Specific Course Objectives :
  • Apply engineering principles to practical environmental problems
  • Solve environmental problems using mass and energy balances
  • Develop conceptual models that integrate a range of environmental phenomena
  • Convert conceptual models into mathematical models
  • Solve simple mathematical models and use resulting equations to make predictions of relevance to environmental engineers
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to elucidate fundamental phenomena
