At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to perform the objectives stated below.
Specific Course Objectives :
Calculate design discharges for the design of hydraulic structures.
Calculate flows and headloss in pipes networks.
Select a pump based on system and pump characteristic curves.
Evaluate flow characteristics through traditional hydraulic structures such as weirs, spillways, and/or sluice gates.
Calculate discharge, normal depth, critical depth, and water surface profiles in open channels.
Calculate runoff hydrographs and design structures to manage stormwater.
