CEE 2824 : CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AND CAD
Course Description :

Introduction to the use of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software in civil engineering, construction, and other land development projects. Interpretation of typical civil engineering drawings. Creation of land development plans, cross section and profile drawings, and detail drawings utilizing computer-aided design and drafting tools. Creation of two- and three-dimensional visualizations of civil engineering, construction, and other land development projects.

Specific Course Objectives :
  • Read and examine civil engineering plans and detail drawings.
  • Prepare elementary, computer-based, civil engineering drawings for use in a collaborative environment.
  • Create two- and three-dimensional visualizations of civil engineering projects.
Course Prerequisite :
No prerequisites. CEE 2824 may be taken either prior to or concurrently with CEE 2814.
