Specific Course Objectives :
Perform characterization, modeling and simulation of asphalt concrete using microstructure and micromechanics approach and numerical simulation tools
Apply expertise in modeling and simulation of macroscopic properties, pavement deterioration and performance.
Assess current research in characterization, modeling and simulation.
Determine important research topics related to asphalt and pavement modeling, select appropriate methods for such research, interpret the results correctly, and identity appropriate methods of disseminating the results.
