CEE 4074 : CONSTRUCTION MEANS & METHODS
Course Description :

Construction means, methods, and equipment used to transform a particular design concept into a completed usable structure or facility. Selection and optimization of individual units as well as the systems needed to produce the required work to the required quality on time and on budget.

Specific Course Objectives :
  • Identify the essential features of heavy construction equipment and describe how these impact the selection, operation, and cost of construction equipment.
  • Apply engineering principles to the selection and optimization of equipment and methods used in heavy grading operations.
  • Describe the relationship between the means and methods and the unique demands of construction projects and evaluate how these affect the safety and cost of field construction processes.
  • Contribute as a member of an integrated team to complete a project design.
  • Prepare a written report.
