Course Description :

Infrastructure components and assessment needs; physical and chemical properties of construction materials; deterioration techniques, infrastructure management systems, performance models, service-life-cycle estimates.

Specific Course Objectives :
  • Identify the elements of civil infrastructure systems and methods to manage them.
  • Identify the different deterioration aspects of civil infrastructure.
  • Identify information needed for forensic engineering.
  • Identify and use the most appropriate nondestructive techniques to evaluate constructed facilities.

C- or better in CEE 3684
