The purpose of this position is to provide a wide variety of technical support, field support, and administrative
support to the Engineering Division. Assists in multiple facets with current projects, duties may include; design
and calculations, field inspections, field survey, preparation of detailed maps, specifications, reports, diagrams,
quantity and cost estimates, database management/creation, and presentations for a variety of municipal
projects such as, but not limited to public utilities, roadways, pedestrian facilities, and development projects.
Position may also provide technical support and administrative support to the Utility Services Division and Public
Services Division of Development Services.

Progression towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Civil/Construction Engineering
Technology, Geographic Information System (GIS), or a related field. Effective oral and written communication
skills. Ability to work independently and/or in a group setting. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Minimum GPA of 2.50, with preferred skills of Access, Excel, GIS, and Microstation/Auto Cad.
 Ability to have positive interactions with property owners, city staff, consultants, and developers.
 Ability to apply situational reasoning and exercise independent judgment.
 Knowledge of survey/design/construction techniques, methods, and materials of municipal projects.
 Knowledge of engineering office practices.
